A group of us did Mark Waldrep's test for hi-res (using the Linkwitz LXmini+2) and the results were essentially random.

So, my result is all devices sounded the same except for the single preference I stated in my previousSteven Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01002178825446727895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781727111866727703.post-53958469484560377362019-05-10T23:38:47.394-07:002019-05-10T23:38:47.394-07:00Hey Steven,

The Linkwitz is an awesome speaker and your entry would have been good to capture.

As I dig through the results, there are certainly patterns and there are subgroup differences which I'll talk about ahead.

Of course as you noted, listening for differences was not Archimagohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08642574001287787545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4781727111866727703.post-73374656758176848862019-05-10T20:57:38.728-07:002019-05-10T20:57:38.728-07:00That is interesting. Of the other tracks (I excluded track 1 from my audition because I could not bear to listen to it a second time), I could hear no difference. But, and I suspect this may well be significant to the overall results, I did the test in my normal listening environment. So then I started out trying to compare C against D, which I felt maybe was next best. After a while I decided I couldn't really tell a difference, so then started comparing C and A.
